For people who actually live between Twin Cities Road and Dillard, the string of gatherings that runs from late spring through Herald Day is not a scattered lineup of events. It is one long social contract, staged in different rooms of the same house, organized almost entirely by a single nonprofit whose annual membership costs less than a burger at the county fair.
